Animated TV Shows and Comic Books are two popular mediums of entertainment today, so it’s no surprise that The Simpsons would offer some commentary on the comic book world.

This past week, the Simpsons offered up an episode honoring women in the comic book field, and manages to tie in a few older episodes of the animated TV show that focused on comic books.
